Today we are finding inspiration in this serene bedroom designed by Lee Ann Thornton. We are drawn to the mix of pale blue and coral and the eclectic mix of furniture; all contributing to the coastal vibe that we love.

What we first noticed about this space is the clever treatment of the high tray ceiling.  We meet a lot of clients who have similar style ceilings in their homes and wonder how to make the room seem ‘cozier.’ This designer added molding trim at the top edge and painted the area below a color, and the ceiling lighter. This trick redefines the ceiling height and makes the space seem more intimate.
