In celebration of it’s 125th anniversary, Schumacher has just released a line of fabrics in patterns collected from it’s archives. Founded in 1889, Schumacher has a wealth of amazing pattern and color to pull from. We personally think they picked some winners here. Here are a few of our faves….

We love using animal prints, and we love navy. We are loving the combination of two of our favorite things here on the Iconic Leopard pattern, in color Ink. This one is on a white ground but it comes on an off-white ground, as well, along with several other great colorways!

Next up ‘the lemon print’ as we call it around here, officially know as Citrus Garden.  This print is based on an archival botanical pattern designed by midcentury architect Josef Frank in 1947. The pattern, which is on linen, is whimsical with a hand-drawn feel.  We love both colorways (and it looks amazing with that navy leopard!!)

Another standout, Indian Arbre, we love all the colorways but especially this one:

Chintz and toile…we mentioned them in previous posts because they are trending. This collection includes both:

We can’t wait to see (and feel) these two fabrics in person. On the left is Serengeti, a rich chenille animal print and on the right Shockwave, which is a luxurious silk velvet. We love how these graphic fabrics could work in a traditional or contemporary space…

Today we are finding inspiration in this serene bedroom designed by Lee Ann Thornton. We are drawn to the mix of pale blue and coral and the eclectic mix of furniture; all contributing to the coastal vibe that we love.

Get The Look: Nursery Edition

Nursery Collage

We’ve noticed that nursery design is trending towards a clean, simple aesthetic. Themed and juvenile rooms are being replaced with rooms that have thoughtful, sophisticated design elements. We see this trend clearly represented in this pared-down nursery space, designed by  Jessica Packard.

This room features a few of the trends we mentioned in our previous […]

Bar Cart Love

mansion in may cart

A few years ago I was researching bar carts for a client and had difficulty locating even a  few for her to choose from. Now, with mid-century modern style on the rise, it seems every furniture line has a bar cart or several to offer. It’s no surprise this versatile piece is showing up all […]

Fashion Friday: Neoprene

We hear Neoprene and we think form-fitting wet suits and laptop sleeves, but the synthetic rubber fabric is trending in women’s fashion. Beyond accessories, we’ve seen it laser-cut, embossed, printed, pleated and color-blocked. Body-con styles to more forgiving ones, everyone can wear the trend.

We always look to the seasonal color report from Pantone for inspiration, both in fashion and interior design, and this Spring’s palette has not let […]

Summer Style: Just Add Water

We always get a little excited when beach towels show up in the local shops. It’s a sure sign that summer at the Jersey shore is upon us. With over 130 miles of coastline, beach towels come in very handy around here. Today we have a collection of some of our favorites, from the very […]

Mad About Maxis

The weather is warming up and hemlines are dropping. Maxi dresses and skirts are becoming all the rage for spring and summer. And rightfully so: when worn correctly, maxis can be just as flattering as they are fashionable. The look of maxis is very effortless and a perfect transition from spring into summer. But with […]

Color Crush: Chartreuse

By: Breanne

A hot color popping up all over is Chartreuse; this mix of lime green and yellow green is perfection in my book. From nails to shoes, the citrusy color adds a fun pop to any outfit. The hue is a great addition to a nuetral outfit but it can also be fun to […]
